CBC is launching the CBC Abilicrew Placements for Excellence (CAPE) Program as a follow-up to last year’s successful Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Placement Pilot. The abilicrew is an organized group of CBC employees with physical or mental disabilities and their allies. CAPE aims to kick-start the careers of people with disabilities, eliminate barriers to employment, and showcase the talents of this traditionally underrepresented group.
Six entry-level paid placements will be hired in Toronto, Ontario and four entry-level paid placements will be hired in other regions of Canada, for a total of 10 placements in CBC English Services. This 12-week program will run from September 16 to December 6, 2019.
The successful candidates will be immersed in selected CBC departments. Over the course of twelve weeks, 10 selected candidates will gain valuable hands-on experience and industry knowledge, and have the opportunity to build their careers and network with CBC’s team of accomplished leaders.
The deadline to apply for all of the CAPE placements is: Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11:59 PM ET.
(NOTE: The deadline has been extended to Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11:59 PM ET!)
