The Board of Directors of Career Edge Organization is pleased to announce the appointment of Naguib Gouda as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. Naguib will be officially joining Career Edge Organization next Monday, December 17th, 2012.

“Naguib is a highly skilled executive with extensive corporate experience and a lifelong commitment to volunteering for community organizations,” says Matt Holland, Chair of Career Edge Organization’s Board of Directors.

Naguib has served on numerous boards and committees including the Toronto Distress Centre, The Learning Partnership, and Wish Opera. He has held senior executive positions in marketing, client services, strategic planning, and project management at the Bank of Montreal and Manulife Financial before moving to the non-profit sector in 2004 as Executive Director, Alumni and Advancement Services at York University.

During his time at York, Naguib transformed the Alumni Board, oversaw the streamlining of data collection and management, strengthened the bonds between the university and its alumni, and supported the York University Foundation in its fundraising efforts through the university’s 50th anniversary campaign.

Following York, Naguib spent four years with the Ontario Medical Association as CEO of OMA Insurance Inc., while also overseeing a number of programs as an Executive Director including the launch of the highly successful Physician Leadership Program, in collaboration with the Schulich School of Business. He was also one of the instrumental leaders in helping the Canadian Medical Association and the Provincial and Territorial Medical associations come to an Alliance Agreement for their Wealth Management and Insurances lines of business.

Most recently as CEO of the Alzheimer Society of Canada (ASC), Naguib has worked tirelessly to support ASC in all aspects of their work, visiting many provincial societies, raising awareness in Ottawa and beyond, lobbying for change, and representing the Society both nationally and internationally.

In anticipation of Naguib joining Career Edge Organization, Holland says, “We are confident that Naguib will provide great leadership and bring added strength to the team.”
