“In the past 10 years, I have relocated three times in three different countries and I know firsthand that it is challenging to start from scratch. Still, I have taken these changes as opportunities to reinvent myself and try different things. As a Colombian working in Mexico in the corporate finance department of an oil and gas company, coming to Canada was an exciting professional endeavor. Although I was happy with my career path and experience, I was also curious about different industries and roles.
Career Edge’s Internationally Qualified Professionals program enabled me to intern at one of the fastest growing North American home & baby brands, Pehr Home and Petit Pehr. This was a great way to get my foot in the door, learn about the business, and be a part of an amazing team.
